Guru Awakens From Coma and Releases Statement

Former Gang Starr rapper Guru, who suffered a heart attack this past weekend, has released a statement regarding the condition of his health.

The 43-year-old Boston-born rapper slipped into a coma, but was successfully operated on Tuesday, March 2.

In his statement, which was only a couple of sentences, Guru confirmed that he is making a recovery, and that his sole representative will continue to be his producer/partner Solar, rather than his legendary Gang Starr partner, DJ Premier.

"I am doing fine and I am recovering! I'm weak though," Guru said. "Solar is the only person who has the accurate info on my situation. Any info from anybody else is false! I appreciate your well wishes and all the love!"
